T&C: Hosco Summit 2020


1. DEFINITION

The Hosco Summit, run and organized by Hospitality Connection Barcelona, S.L. (“HOSCO”), takes place every June in Barcelona. The world’s top hospitality school representatives and HR professionals from first-class companies unite for three days of networking and learning. The attendees exchange best practices, hear from industry figures, and make endless connections. The overall goal is to unite industry stakeholders and tackle some of the biggest challenges that hospitality is currently facing.

2. IMAGE RELEASE POLICY

Photos and videos will be taken during the Hosco Summit 2020, taking place in Barcelona from the 10th to the 12th of June 2020. These photos and/or video footage will be released on a public album on hosco.com and used to share information about the Hosco Summit on other communication channels managed by HOSCO. 

All event attendees permission to HOSCO, the irrevocable and unrestricted right to reproduce the photographs and/or video images taken of me for the purpose of publication, promotion, illustration, advertising, or trade, in any manner or in any medium and country, releasing HOSCO and its legal representatives for all claims and liability relating to said images or videos. Furthermore, Hosco has permission to use the statements if given during a recorded interview at the event, with or without the name, for the purpose of advertising and publicity without restriction and without offering any compensation in exchange.

If you don’t grant permission to HOSCO to use the photographs and/or video images and/or statements taken of you during the Hosco Summit 2020, please send an email to pr@hosco.com. Please make sure you state: Image release, the name of the event, and your full name in the subject line of your email. Ex: Image release, Hosco Summit 2020, James Smith.

3. REGISTRATION 

The registration fee allows access to the event as outlined in the registration section of the Hosco Summit 2020 website: conference materials, receptions, meals, and breaks as specified in the program.

The program is subject to change without notice.

4. VAT

Per The Spanish Tax Authority, we are required to charge VAT on all registrations for events held in Barcelona. The Hosco Summit 2020 registration fee shown includes already 21% VAT. If applicable, registering and reclaiming of VAT are the sole responsibility of the individual attendee. Eligible registered attendees will receive an invoice receipt including the necessary tax documentation via the email address the attendee has provided. 

5. PAYMENT

Registration payment can be made by credit card or by bank transfer. In the case of payments via bank transfer, the full fee is payable to Hosco as a one-time payment within 30 days following the registration to secure your Hosco Summit 2020 pass. The discounts Super Saver and Early Bird will be forfeited if the date to apply for the discount passes before receiving the full payment. Hosco reserves the right to charge an extra 5% of the total amount due should payment not be received on time.

6. REGISTRATION TRANSFER

Registrations may be transferred to another employee in your company and requests for transfers of the registration fee must be made in writing on or before the 10th of April 2020. Please send an email to pr@hosco.com indicating in the subject line: Registration transfer, name of the event, and the full name of the person. Ex: Registration transfer, Hosco Summit 2020, James Smith.

Registrations not transferred by the 10th of April 2020 will be forfeited and will not be eligible for transfer unless HOSCO decides otherwise.

7. FLIGHTS 

The flights to attend the Hosco Summit 2020 paid by HOSCO, under a previous written agreement between HOSCO and the attendee, are subject to the following conditions:

7.1 Flight cancelation: In the case of a flight cancelation, either by the airport, by the airline, and/or other causes, HOSCO is not responsible for booking neither covering the expenses related to arranging a new flight and/or other expenses derived from the cancelation.  

7.2 Missed flight: In the case of missing the arranged flight, HOSCO is not responsible for booking neither covering the expenses related to arranging a new flight and/or other expenses derived from the missed flight. 

7.3 Flight transfer: The flight may be transferred to another employee in your company. HOSCO will not carry any expenses related to transferring the flight. Furthermore, HOSCO reserves the right to approve such a transfer which has to be communicated in writing on or before the 10th of April 2020 to pr@hosco.com indicating in the subject line: Flight transfer, name of the event, and the full name of the person. Ex: Flight transfer, Hosco Summit 2020, James Smith. 

8. EVENT CANCELLATION 

If the Hosco Summit 2020 is not held as scheduled, the registration fee may be applied to the rescheduled event within one year of the canceled one.

9. CANCELLATION POLICY

Should you have to cancel your registration, a notification in writing (post or email) should be sent to pr@hosco.com. Please make sure you state: cancelation, name of the event, and your full name in the subject line of your email. Ex: Cancelation, Hosco Summit 2020, James Smith.

9.1 Conditions for standard schools & companies (including, but not limited to HOSCO clients and non-clients):

  • A refund of 75% will be given for cancellations received on or before the 10th of November, 210 days (7 months) prior to the start of the event.
  • A refund of 50% will be given for cancellations received between the 10th of November, 210 days (7 months), and on or before the 10th of April, 60 days (2 months) prior to the start of the event.
  • No refund will be issued for cancellations received later than the 10th of April, less than 60 days (2 months) prior to the event, nor failure to attend.

9.2   Conditions for sponsors:

  • A refund of 75% will be given for cancellations received on or before the 10th of November, 210 days (7 months) prior to the start of the event.
  • A refund of 50% will be given for cancellations received between the 10th of November, 210 days (7 months), and on or before the 10th of April, 60 days (2 months) prior to the start of the event.
  • No refund will be issued for cancellations received later than the 10th of April, less than 60 days (2 months) prior to the event, nor failure to attend.
  • However, any expenses generated because of the service should be supported fully by the part that cancels. 

10. OTHER CONDITIONS

HOSCO reserves the right to refuse entry to any HOSCO event.
